E is for Elizabeth Bennet

Oh, Lizzie. Finding a suitable husband isn't easy, is it? Good thing Mr. Darcy turns out to be the hunk of the century, because if you didn't claim him, I might have. *sigh* Also, it is a truth universally acknowledged that Jane Austen is a goddess.

“I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine.”

Do you like Elizabeth Bennet? What are your favorite E characters?

I love Elizabeth Bennett! I remember reading that novel for the first time when I was about fourteen and finding a character who was just as frustrated with her life as my angsty teen self was.

Love Kiera's characters in movies and the quote's just fabulous.

Oh how I lurve Elizabeth Bennett! She has got to be one of my #1 favorite girl characters of all time.

Another of my fav "E" is a writer, not a character, Elizabeth Barrett Browning. She was phenom! Can she count too? :)

Hello, Ilima! Great choice for E. I can't think of an E character right now. Just Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, LoL! :)

Happy A to Z-ing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines

That lady sure is pretty.

Never read P&P (felt it was ruined when the ending was given away by a children's program my little brother used to watch), though I probably should, since I'm such a bookworm and intellectual. E characters I can think of off of the top of my head are rebellious Eileen from Judy Delton's Kitty series and Ella of the the All-of-a-Kind Family series.

Elizabeth Bennet is wonderful. Have you seen the Lizzie Bennet Diaries? I'd heard about them, but only recently got around to watching them and absolutely loved them!

I'm not sure there is a better E character than Elizabeth Bennett.
