D is for DOWN TO THE RIVER TO PRAY by Alison Krauss. This one's in the movie OH BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?...and you know what I'm going to say about that if you haven't seen it yet. Gosh I'm such a movie nut. ;) This song is also a traditional folk hymn and the inspiration behind one of my works in progress that takes place in the deep south. Perfect accompaniment when I work on that one.
Let's go down. Down in the river to pray.

Kind of reminds me of how Land Del Rey's Born to Die is perfect for my Circa novel in progress. This song is so touching and Oh Brother Where Art Thou is such a nice movie.
Whole soundtrack (and movie) is a classic.
"Damn...we're in a tight spot!" NOw I want to watch that movie again. :)
I really, REALLY need to catch up on my movies. I'm not much of a movie fanatic, but sheesh I didn't know it was THIS bad. lol But I do love Alison Krauss. :)
Great movie and beautiful song. I agree with David I need to go watch it again.

That's an oldie!
I don't recognize any of the songs you've done, though I have seen the movie, so, maybe, I'd recognize it if I heard it (can't listen to it right now, though).
LOVE THAT SONG!
