Today I'm participating in the Please Allow Me To Re-Introduce Myself Blog Hop. You can find details here.
Basically, it's an opportunity to re-introduce myself to readers both old and new...share something interesting about myself. See that picture on the right, there >>>that's me. Hi.
In an attempt to keep this brief, I will say I love movies (not TV shows), books (not non-fiction), avocados (not bread pudding), Cricket (not Etienne, okay...just not as much as I love Cricket), music (not country) and ice cream (oh please, there are no 'nots' in this category). Of course I have exceptions to all of those 'nots'--I'm not a monster. (Ha! See what I did there?) These are just general guidelines of what make up me, I suppose.
What do you (or do you not) love?
And since I usually end my posts with a song, I thought I'd treat you to one of my favorite clips (it's short!) of not liking something but maybe kind of liking it. Bonus points if you can finish this line from Easy A in the comments: There is a higher power that will judge you for your indecency...

Oh that clip was so funny! And no, there are no 'nots' in the ice cream category. (:
Glad you were able to participate, it's great to re-meet you! (:
Wonderful clip :) I enjoyed all your 'nots' - quite a few qualifiers, huh? But you're right, ice cream is ALWAYS good.
Nice to meet you again! I can't say I've ever tried bread pudding, though it doesn't sound too appetizing. And I'm afraid I don't like cricket at all and have no idea what Etienne is. Though I agree that there are no 'not' in the ice-cream category.
I LOVE that movie and that is a funny clip :)
Bread pudding... definitely on the ick list. If my kids don't eat it, and it's a dessert, then you know there's a problem. :)
You're right. There's no 'nots' when it comes to ice-cream - except, of course, brain freeze...lol
"Tom Cruise" - LOL
I loved Easy A- I laughed my butt off at that line. And you know I love you Ilima.
Cricket, so sexy! Etienne is pretty hot too, but it still bugs me that he kept dating that girl when he clearly liked Anna. I mean, really?
Elise-Thanks for hosting this great blog hop!
Tonja-Hurray for ice cream!
Bonnee-Anything that involves soggy bread is just wrong. ;)
Suzi-Haha. I know, right?
DRC-It's worth the pain. :)
Jaybird-It's Tom Cruise for the win!!! Why am I not surprised you knew that one? Isn't that movie hilarious?
Jennie-I CANNOT WAIT to see who Ms. Perkins comes up with next. :)
Haha, love the clip. Emma Stone is just too cute. And love getting to know you better--I will never attempt to bribe you with bread pudding. ;-)
Not TV? Really? You are missing out on some real goodies :)
I love movies, too! I prefer watching them in theatres over on home video. And yeah, I don't watch much television - just the news and weather. Nice to re-meet you, Ilima! :)
Sara-Emma Stone is adorable, right? Yes, no bread pudding for me. Yech.
Angela-I'll watch TV but only after the whole series is done...I don't like having to wait week after week. This way it's more like a really long movie, lol.
Livia-Going to the theater with a giant popcorn and soda is the best!
Enjoyed the "loves" and "nots" list. I'd have to add I love genre (not literary). :)
I love that movie!
So I love movies too, cooking (erm, but lately not eating) and I love my ever-growing group of friends. My husband accuses me of bringing home new people like they're stray puppies.
Hey!
I love that clip. That is basically the way some of the cheesiest music ends up on my computer. ;)
<3
It's fun re-meeting folks!
Thanks for the video/song. It makes me smile! I love that movie!
Love your little intro, though my favorite detail is from your sidebar... you can never watch too much Firefly... Oh Nathan, my precious...
WOOOHOOOOOO, Cricket. Sorry, what else was this post about? Haha.
Nicole-I'd have to agree with you on that one for the most part.
Johanna-You must be an amazing friend. :) And eat more, please. :)
Mia-Ha. I know, me too.
Jackie-That movie makes me laugh the whole way through.
Hart-It's true. You can never have enough Mal. :)
Jenny-Don't worry, Cricket was the most important part. :)
Loooove that EASY A clip. I act like that all the time. Nice to meet you through the blog hop. I actually couldn't get into Lola but I love Anna and the French Kiss something hardcore.
It's so great to learn a little about you. Interesting quirkisms you've got. I know I've got some too. But, you don't like bread pudding?!? Surely you've just had a bad batch. And TV movies can be good. :)
You know, there's mint ice cream. Then there's the rest. It's good, but it's no mint.
I'm with you on the movie/tv thing.
Dreams are great, ice cream is great, and then there's chocolate! I like that song! Thanks for stopping by! GirlZombieAuthors
Rachel-Ooh, you should give Lola another chance. But Anna is amazing too.
Nancy-Bread pudding, stuffing, french dip...I am very cautious with anything involving bread and liquid. Haha.
S.P.-Mmm. I love mint ice cream.
Chris-Chocolate deserves a post all to itself. :)
I'm not a monster either. Nice to meet you and you're right there are no 'nots' in ice cream.
Not country? You rock!!!
Oh my goodness. I love Easy A! :) Nice to "re-meet" you, Ilima!
I would much rather watch a drama series after it's over, too. It's how I've watched Walking Dead, Dexter, and Sons of Anarchy lately - instant gratification, you know? :)
erica
Love that movie. Great to get to know you a bit better. I don't really like non-fiction either. Love avocados and bread pudding. Still friends? :)
Susan-Great to meet you, too.
Alex-Haha. "Not country" peeps unite!
Carrie-Isn't it hilarious?
Erica-I'm too much of a wimp to watch those scary shows, lol. But agreed on watching the whole series.
Jessica-Bread pudding...all is forgiven, haha.
Tom Cruise? Easy A is a great movie. Consider yourself re-introduced and I love vanilla ice-cream.
I love avocados on just about everything. We have something in common. And thanks for participating in the Re-Introduce Myself Blogfest!
Sheena-kay-Yes! It is Tom Cruise. Bonus points for you! And I love vanilla ice cream too.
Stephen-I eat avocados with everything, too. Thanks for hosting the fun bloghop.
Well hello! it's so nice to meet you! ;)
Oh my, ice cream is its own food group for me. LOVE that stuff :)
I've never seen Easy A. I totally should. And I have to respectfully disagree about the ice cream thing. I don't know why, but I can't handle any kind of nuts in ice cream. They simply don't belong! :)
I like old t.v. shows as well as movies...of course there are exceptions to that, too :)
Nice to meet you Ilima and thanks for the follow. Right back at ya and just wanted to say anyone who watches Firefly can't be bad in my book :)
Nice to meet you! I love movies, too, and that clip from Easy A is one of my favorites. :) Well done.
Also: movies rule! (Although I do like TV).

Kelley-Ice cream is my weakness. :)
Jessie-I love nuts in ice cream, haha. And you'd probably crack up at that movie.
Mark-Thanks for the follow. And I agree, Firefly is the best!
Sus-That clip makes me laugh every time. Thanks for stopping by!
I'm not a TV fan either. And I've never met an ice cream I didn't like. :)
Hi, I think we've met before along the way. I enjoyed your re-introduction, I love music and always had music on my blog but since blogger and google has changed I find it hard to set it up.
Thanks for joining my followers.
Yvonne.
"Tom Cruise?" Haha!! I love that line. I enjoyed all your "nots," but I have to disagree with you on ice cream. The other day I heard of bacon-flavoured ice cream. I love both bacon and ice cream, but together? Umm...questionable.
ROFL! I've never seen that movie, but now I really wan tto! I happen to love Pocketful of Sunshine. The clip totally cracked me up.
Loved your list of loves and (nots). So fun! Um, I love chocolate and peanut butter (not chocolate and nuts). *shrug*
Hi Ilima.
I love the background design of your blog.
Do you eat your avocado in a salad? It's divine!
Great video clip!
I'm not really an ice-cream fanatic. Most people have a sweet tooth, but mine is savoury...
Nice to meet you via the blogfest.
Emily-I think I'm just impatient and don't want to wait week after week for the story to continue on TV.
Yvonne-I love music too and HAVE to have it on while I write or I'll go crazy.
Azara-Yes! Tom Cruise. Hehe. I've actually had bacon IN ice cream and it was delish.
Ali-How about melted peanut butter over chocolate ice cream? Yum.
Michelle-I eat avocado on almost anything. Except not ice cream. Avocado-tomato-cucumber sandwiches are my FAVORITE.
Okay, so you love to look at crickets, eat them, hear them. I'm needing a little more on that one:)
On a totally different note, are you going to StoryMakers this year? I wish I could go, but this country gal has to stay down south:(
Fun post. Yeah, movies not TV. I've looked at a couple of series lately on Netflix and realized why I prefer movies. Shorter story arcs make a huge difference.
Love the clip. Now I have to find that movie-or at least I'm assuming it's a movie? Netflix here I come. I found my first ice cream flavor that I couldn't eat last year, it was coffee flavored.
Deana-Boo! I admit seeing you was one reason I wanted to go to Storymakers again. But I totally understand. You will be missed for sure! And drop what you're doing right now and pick up Anna and the French Kiss, and then Lola and the boy Next Door. Etienne and Cricket are characters from those books. You won't regret it!
Donna-I know, I'm just too impatient. That's probably why I read entire books in one or two sittings also. :)
Robin-Yes, it's a teen flick with some crude humor and language...so not for your kids at all. I recently watched it again at Em's house...it's hilarious.
Great clip! I love avocados too! And sunshine. And chocolate. And quiet time... but not too much. :)
Great post Ilima. Good to get to know you better.
Just getting around to your site from the blogfest. Pretty cool look you got going on here...I saw you came by my site and wanted to thank you. Are you doing the A-Z Challenge??
Chuck at Apocalypse Now
I bet I know why you like movies more than TV shows--because movies resolve at the end and TV shows are just one cliffhanger after another. Am I right? :-)
Leigh-I love ALL those things too. And yay for quiet time...what a treat when I get it.
Chuck-Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I'm doing A to Z but I"m still trying to figure out a theme for my posts.
Katie-Yes, you're right. And that's probably why for the most part I like stand alone books over series. I have enough stress in my life than to worry about what's happening next, ha!
Not country, eh? Hmmm ... maybe my new book will change your mind? Or not. :)
