Norse Gods Blogfest

Today I'm participating in the Norse Gods Blogfest to help Siv Maria Ottem celebrate her new book, Secrets of the Ash Tree. Also, today's her birthday. So happy birthday and congrats Siv!

All I have to do is post about my favorite Norse God. My favorite?

Tom Hiddleston.

What do you mean Tom Hiddleston is not a Norse God? Fine. Then I'll go with...Loki.

Loki is the trickster god. Playful, cruel, cunning and mischievous. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Boy do I love complex villains, and Loki takes the prize. A bad guy that almost kinda maybe sort of might be good deep down? Yes, please. I may have even stolen my kids' Lego Loki from their Avengers collection. Don't judge.

But seriously...Tom Hiddleston!!!

He can be a Norse God for you!
He's such a nice guy, but he knows how to turn on the evil.

LOL! I like my gods with more muscle but hey I like naughty boys as well :) Loki happens to be that bad boy in my book. Thanks for participating in the blogfest!

HI, Lima,

OVer from the hop... Nice to meet you,

Loki certainly is a trickster all right. He caused WAY too much trouble and was responsible for the death of my favorite god, Baldr...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIV!

Hi, Ilima,
Hadn't thought about Loki quite the way you described him, but just maybe I could get to like 'A bad guy that almost kinda maybe sort of might be good deep down', as you put it. :)

Tom Hiddleston really has done an amazing job as Loki in the movies -- I have to agree. And that cookie monster clip is hilariously awesome!! I have to say though, I think Marvel is missing out by making Loki Thor's brother instead of more of an Uncle figure, like he is in the myths!

We all need a little more Loki in our lives!

Good luck to Siv and her book, Secrets of the Ash Tree!

Perhaps you can campaign for adding to the roster of Norse gods.

Yes! You choose an excellent Norse God. Hello, Tom Hiddleston. I cracked up watching him teach Cookie Monster delayed gratification.
I'll have to check out Secrets of the Ash Tree.

Don't you just wish you could grab a bunch of cookies and just stuff them in your mouth like that. Not caring about the mess. :)

Great Cookie Monster clip! Congrats again, Siv.

"puny god", to quote the Hulk. *grins*

Yep. Loki is one of the best series villains to come around in a while. Someone had to replace Voldemort, right? :)

Oh, this is one bad guy its hard not to like! Good choice :)

Man, he looks different in real life with that ginger hair! Not quite as hot as Chris Helmsworth (or whatever Thor's name is) but still pretty easy on the eyes!

YES! Loki, Loki, Loki. Why you gotta break my heart and want you 'n' Thor to become brother besties again?

I love mythology!

Horribly late visiting back from IWSG! But so glad I stopped by, because Loki is my favorite from the Norse mythology too (and was even before Tom Hiddleston). But, Tom made Loki even better. So looking forward to the next Thor movie!
